Terms of Service

Introduction

These Terms of Service govern your use of LëtzLearn (the "Service"), operated by Lothringer (contact@lothringer.co.uk). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms.

Your account

You must provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

Free tier

The free tier gives you access to two introductory units, vocabulary flashcards, and quizzes at no charge, for as long as the free tier remains available.

Paid subscription

A paid subscription unlocks all course units and premium features. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as shown at checkout and renew automatically at the same price until cancelled. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. You authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account page (/account) via the Stripe billing portal, or by emailing contact@lothringer.co.uk. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer pro-rata refunds for partial periods unless required by applicable law. Under UK and EU consumer law you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase. By subscribing and accessing the course content, you expressly request immediate access to the digital content and acknowledge that you waive your right of withdrawal.

Account deletion

You may permanently delete your account at any time from your account page (/account). On deletion, your personal data — including email address, username, password, date of birth, and location — is immediately and permanently obfuscated and cannot be recovered. Any active subscription is cancelled immediately on deletion with no pro-rata refund for the remaining billing period. Your anonymised learning history (lesson completions and quiz scores) is retained for internal record-keeping. Account deletion is irreversible. To request deletion by email instead, contact contact@lothringer.co.uk.

Intellectual property

All course content, design, and software are owned by Lothringer or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without written permission.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service — for example, by attempting to reverse-engineer the platform, scrape content, or create multiple accounts to circumvent free-tier restrictions.

Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lothringer is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of material changes. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
